In this cause the Appellate Court affirmed a decree of the circuit court of Lee county (326 Ill. App. 83) and the judges being of the opinion that the questions involved were of such importance that they should be passed upon by this court, granted leave to appeal. The facts are not in dispute. On February 14, 1932, William Meppen executed a promissory note payable to his mother, Wilhelmina Meppen, for $1200. The note was due in one year without interest.
