During July, 1928, the county superintendent of highways of White county, Illinois, filed a petition with the Illinois Commerce Commission for an order requiring the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company to construct and maintain a bridge over a creek where the public highway in Hawthorne township, in that county, crosses the creek on the railroad company’s right of way a short distance south of where the highway passes under the company’s trestle No. 118. A hearing was had before the commission, and on May 9, 1929, an order was entered requiring the railroad company to place the highway…
