OPINION
FOWLER, Justice.
This is an appeal from a summary judgment granted in favor of The Methodist Hospital. John Kanon, individually, and as executor of the estate of Terry Kanon, 1 raises four issues on appeal. We affirm.
Background
Kanon brought suit against appellee, the Methodist Hospital, 2 claiming his wife, Terry Kanon, now deceased, was injured by a device called a Proplast implant. The Proplast implant contains the substances “Proplast” and teflon FEP and is implanted to relieve temporomandibular joint (“TMJ”) problems.
