I. Introduction
On February 26, 2001, Blanca Crespo (“Plaintiff’ or “Crespo”) commenced this action pursuant to Social Security Act § 205(g), 42 U.S.C. §§ 405(g) and 1383(c), seeking review of the denial of her application for disability benefits by Administrative Law Judge Jonathan E. Jacobs (“ALJ”), following a (very) brief hearing held on November 10, 1998 and reflected in a decision dated December 22, 1998 (“ALJ Decision”).
