This is an action on a single bill, dated the 9th June, 1814, given by the defendants, Darnel and Nicholas Diehl,for the sum of £ 4814 Is. 6d., payable to Henry King, Jr., or order, on the 1st September, 1814, with interest from the 1st May, 1814. Henry King, J.r. assigned this obligation to his father, Henry King, the intestate. It was alleged by the defendants that the consideration of the single bill, was, legacy bequeathed to the said H.
