This is an action to recover for personal injuries and property damage resulting from a collision between plaintiff’s automobile and defendant’s truck. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for $7,500 and judgment was entered thereon. The defendant has appealed.

The petition of the plaintiff alleges that the defendant carelessly and negligently drove his truck off of the traveled portion of the highway and into the rear end of plaintiff’s automobile temporarily stopped on the shoulder of the road, thereby damaging plaintiff’s automobile and inflicting serious injuries upon the plaintiff.…
