*501In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiff appeals, as limited by his brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Knipel, J.), dated August 5, 2003, as granted the cross motion of the defendants Audax Construction Corp. and Big N Equipment Rental Corp. and the separate cross motion of the defendant City of New York for summary judgment dismissing the complaint insofar as asserted against them, respectively.
