On March 2, 1992, the district court convicted appellant, pursuant to a guilty plea, of one count of second degree murder. The district court sentenced appellant to serve a term of life in the Nevada State Prison with the possibility of parole after five years. Pursuant to a stipulation by the parties, this court dismissed appellant’s direct appeal. Reeves v. State, Docket No. 23119 (Order Dismissing Appeal, July 15, 1992).
