At the primary election field on August 6tfi, of this year, appellant and appellee were candidates for tfie Republican nomination for sheriff of Pike county. Appellant received 1279 votes and appellee 5834 votes, according to tfie official count, and tfie certificate of nomination was awarded to appellee.
