This case concerns the application of the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act (UCCJA) which has been adopted by both Connecticut and Florida, the two states directly involved in this appeal.1 The plaintiff husband instituted this Connecticut custody action against the defendant wife, a Florida resident, after her refusal to return their two minor children2 to him in Connecticut after summer visitation with her.
