Appellant and respondent are husband and wife. They separated in December, 1939. Desiring to reach an agreement as to (1) “ the amount of the allowance to be made by the husband for the support of the wife ” and (2) “ the amount of the allowance to be made by the husband for the support of a daughter,” then seventeen years of age, the parties by a written stipulation submitted these matters to an arbitrator, who took testimony and made an award fixing the amounts to be paid by the husband. Upon a motion by the respondent wife this award was confirmed by Special Term and judgments were entered…
