Lorenzo Smith was indicted for unlawful possession of cocaine, a controlled substance, in violation of § 13A-12-212, Ala. Code 1975. On December 5, 2002, Smith entered a guilty plea to the charged offense, and he was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.…
