On December 17, 1886, defendant and his father acquired forty acres of land situated in East Baton Rouge Parish for a recited consideration of $400; on December 13, 1890, defendant acquired his father's undivided interest in the said land, for the recited consideration of $200. At the time of his acquisition, defendant was married to Georgiana Baker, thus making the property community property. On May 13, 1899, after a decree of separation from bed and board had been granted between Georgiana Baker and defendant, they executed a notarial act of sale, for a recited cash consideration of $150,…
