Larry Branscomb, an Arkansas inmate, appeals from the judgment entered by the magistrate judge 1 denying his petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254. For the reasons discussed below, we affirm.
I. Facts and Procedural History
Branscomb, a former Chicago resident, visited relatives in Arkansas in mid-August, 1986. On August 15, Branscomb, along with his brother, Earl Branscomb, and a friend, Willie McCoy, looked at a Cadillac for sale in Marvell, Arkansas.
