PIERCE, Judge.

Defendant appeals a judgment for plaintiff and denying defendant’s counterclaim. Plaintiff argues that this court is without jurisdiction to hear the appeal because defendant did not file a timely notice of appeal. We agree, however, for reasons different from those argued by plaintiff, and therefore dismiss this appeal.. The trial court entered an order on October 5,1978, denying defendant’s motion for new trial. On November 8, defendant filed a motion for an enlargement of the time of filing a notice of appeal pursuant to C.A.R. 4(a). Attached to this motion was the notice of…
