Bell, Justice.

B. L. Melton was convicted of murder, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. His motion for a new trial was overruled, and he excepted. The deceased was a physician, to whose office the defendant’s wife had made occasional visits for medical treatment. The killing occurred in the afternoon of January 25, 1934, while the deceased and others were engaged in a game of golf. The defendant went to the links with a shotgun, and after approaching the deceased with words of denunciation, and stating, “You have wrecked my home,” shot and killed him.
