Sharon Morrison was employed by Whispering Pines Lodge (a nursing home) in 2009 when, as she was retrieving towels for a resident from a resident shower area, she slipped and fell in an area that had just been mopped by another nursing home employee, injuring her left forearm. Morrison sued Whispering Pines in 2011 for her injury, in what she believed to be a simple premises liability matter.
