Sognier, Judge.

Appellant was convicted of driving at an excessive speed and appeals. He enumerates several errors relating to jurisdiction of the trial court, denial of counsel, denial of various motions and lack of evidence to support his conviction.

1. Appellant was found guilty of driving 75 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. Driving in excess of 55 miles per hour is a misdemeanor, OCGA §§ 40-6-181 (b) (2); 40-6-1, and State courts have jurisdiction to try misdemeanors. OCGA § 15-7-4.
