This suit was filed in the District Court of Ellis County, Texas, by Mrs. Eula Lawson against Southland Life Insurance Company to recover on a policy of life insurance issued by isuch Company to Charles Hudson Lawson. Mrs. Eula Lawson was named as beneficiary in such policy, which was for the sum of $1,000.00. Trial in the district court without the aid of a jury resulted in a judgment for Mrs. Lawson against the Company for $1,000.00, less $3.67, one of the quarterly premiums. Also, judgment was for Mrs. Lawson for twelve per cent, penalty in the sum of $120.00 and $300.00 attorney’s fees,…
