BLACK, Circuit Judge:

Phillip Hadaway' pled guilty to possession of an unregistered sawed-off shotgun, in violation of 26 U.S.C. §§ 5841 and 6861(d). Because police discovered and seized the sawed-off shotgun in Hadaway’s home on November 20, 1990, the district court used the United States Sentencing Guidelines (Sentencing Guidelines or U.S.S.G.), as amended through November 1, 1990, to calculate the applicable guideline range.
