This civil rights action is the latest in a series of cases extending back to 1959 wherein efforts have been made to desegregate the students and faculty of the Dollarway School District. 1 The plaintiff, a black man named Othello Cross, claims to have been victimized by racial discrimination practiced by the District in the hiring, compensation, and promotion of its employees in violation of 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983, and 2000e-2, and he asks this court to grant him the job of head high school football coach and athletic director at…
