Jamboree, in Pike County, is the scene of this homicide. A horse trade was the origin of it and whiskey the precipitating cause. On Sunday afternoon, March 5, 1944, Isaiah Wolford, his brother-in-law, Perry McCoy, and his brother, Caudle McCoy, gathered at a “jockey ground” on a creek.
