This action was brought to enforce a mechanic’s lien for building a part of a brick block, which if completed according to the contract, was to have constituted the depot of the respondents, in the city of Milwaukee. The contract describes the land on which the building was erected, as block 41, in the 2d ward of that city. This was composed of a number of lots, and was bounded *221on the east by the Milwaukee river, and on the west, by Third street.
