— Affirming.

Appellee sued appellant in the court below for $500.00, alleged to be due as balance of rent for the year 1907 upon a farm formerly owned by Sallie E. Ray, deceased, appellee’s mother, at whose death the farm descended to appellee as her only child and heir at law.

It was alleged in the petition that appellee’s mother1 in 1902 sold the farm to -appellant at the price of1 $12,000.00, for which the latter executed to- her his twelve promissory notes of $1,000.00 each, bearing six per cent, interest from date, and one of which was to be paid in each…
