Nancy White Nelson was an old negro woman who resided in New Orleans. She owned her own home, a part of which she seems to have rented out. She also owned some personal property, and received a pension from the federal government, which was apparently something more than sufficient, together with the rents she received, to care for her limited wants. Her sister, who was also aged, lived with her, and was provided for by her. Nancy Nelson had no children, and her parents were dead.
