Before the Court is an action seeking injunctive relief against defendant G. William Diamond, the Secretary of State of Maine (“the State”). Plaintiffs, the Libertarian Party of Maine and 18 of its members (“the Party”), seek to force the State to place the names of the 18 members on the ballot for the 1992 general election. These members want to run for United States Congressman, state senator, or state representative.
