The United States seized and sought forfeiture of the defendant (a 1990 Chevrolet Corvette convertible) pursuant to Title 21, U.S.C. § 881(a)(6), claiming that the Corvette was purchased with proceeds traceable to the sale of controlled substances. The government filed a complaint pursuant to Supplemental Rule C of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Annie Mae Milliner challenged the forfeiture, claiming to be the owner of the Corvette.
