On August 8, 1914, the board of trustees of the Lingleville independent school district entered into a written contract with J. G. Brown by the terms of which Brown agreed to erect and complete an, addition to the public school building as per plans and specifications, the board agreeing to pay Brown the sum of $717 in cash and two old school buildings, being a rock building located at Lingleville, and the building known as the Antioch Building, together with three acres of land upon which the Antioch Building is located.
