In June, 1899, Charles L. Wallace purchased by parol contract from Oscar Douglas a second-hand and well worn traction engine and boiler, at the price of Two Hundred and Eighty Dollars, to be' paid in four equal payments in six, twelve, eighteen and twenty-four months, with interest, for *103which Wallace and his wife, Frances, executed their notes, secured by a deed of trust bearing date the 10th day of June, 1899, on the engine and boiler purchased, and on 'a tract of land owned by the wife.
