Joe Pinkerton, also known as Joseph Allen Pinkerton, was convicted on one count of the sale of cocaine, § 20-2-70 (a), Code of Alabama 1975, and punishment was fixed by the jury at a $12,500.00 fine, to which was added a fifteen year term of imprisonment by the trial court.
