I. INTRODUCTION
On March 1, 2007, plaintiffs Safety Breaking Corporation (“SBC”), Magnetar Technologies Corporation (“Magnetar”) *472and G & T Conveyor Corporation (“G & T”) filed this action against defendants, a series of amusement park owners and operators (“Six Flags”),1 for patent infringement.2 The patent at issue, U.S. Patent No. 5,277,125 (“'125 patent”), was originally assigned to BAE Automated Systems (“BAE”).3 G & T acquired the assets of BAE in 2001.4 Magnetar received an exclusive license under the '125 patent from G & T…
