The appellees, Gulas Wrestling Enterprises, Inc., et al., filed a declaratory judgment action for a determination as to the constitutionality of Code 1975, §§ 41-9-90 through -126, and Act No. 80-121, Acts of Alabama, 1980. The appellees' complaint alleged that the statutory provisions were unconstitutional on the grounds that the licenses, fees and taxes imposed by the statutes deny them due process and equal protection of the law and that the statutes are discriminatory and confiscatory and provide for double taxation.
