This was an action brought by Clinton L. Caldwell, as assignee of Angelí Matthewson & Company, against Cornelia W. Matthewson to recover from her possession certain promissory notes alleged to belong to the assignors, and for judgment for the amount of certain other promissory notes alleged to *128belong to them, which she had collected and converted to her own use.
