Amanda Williams ("Williams") approached Cindy Berry, a real-estate agent with Travis Realty, Inc., seeking assistance in buying her first house. Berry told Williams and her husband, Bert Williams,1 that as a low-income family they qualified for a program sponsored by AmeriDream, Inc.2 That program provides financial assistance to low-income families to help them with the down payment on a house.
