Appeal by the plaintiff, the Easton Furniture Manufacturing Company, from two judgments of the Municipal Court of the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, in favor of the defendant, rendered on the 4th day of April, 1911.

Carr, J.:

The defendant, in 1908, indorsed several promissory notes made by a corporation styled “ Jacob Caminez ” in. favor of the plaintiff as payee. The indorsement was without consideration and for the accommodation of the maker. Under these circumstances she became simply a surety for the principal debtor, the corporation maker. Thereafter the corporation went into bankruptcy, The "plaintiff proceeded against the estate of the bankrupt, and filed its claim upon the notes in question.
