In this cause, on the 8th day of November, 1897, the plaintiff filed his bill, alleging that he is the owner in fee, and in actual possession, of a tract of land commonly known as the “Robert Morris 500,000-acre grant,” located partly in Buchanan county, Va., and partly in the states of Kentucky and West Virginia.
