hln this medical malpractice matter, the trial court granted a motion for summary judgment on damages in favor of plaintiff, Robert Jordan. After the Louisiana Patient’s Compensation Fund (“the Fund”) appealed the summary judgment in October 2004, Mr. Jordan filed an amended and supplemental petition in March 2005. That same month, the Fund filed various exceptions challenging the amended and supplemental petition and argued, in part, that the district court no longer had jurisdiction once the case was on appeal.
