This action was begun before a justice of the peace of Holt county, Nebraska, on July 18, 1888, by the plaintiffs in error, against the defendant in error, for the possession •of certain cattle, horses, hogs, and farm implements mortgaged by the defendant to the plaintiffs. The value of the property having been found by the appraisers to be $425, the proceedings were certified to the district court of said county.
