Miller, Judge.

National Office Partners, L.E (“NOP”), appeals from the trial court’s order granting Tim Stanley’s motion to correct a misnomer by substituting NOP in place of the named defendant, “National Office Partners Capitol Lij” in the judgment, writ of fieri facias, and other orders and pleading associated with the case. Since NOP was not properly served with the complaint, NOP’s substitution as the defendant in this action was not the correction of a mere misnomer. Accordingly, we reverse.
