RICHARD STAIR, Jr., Chief Judge.
The Chapter 11 Trustee, Michael H. Fitzpatrick, commenced this adversary proceeding on February 12, 1996, seeking to avoid and recover five allegedly preferential utility payments made by the Debtor to the Defendant, Rockwood Water, Wastewater, and Natural Gas Systems, totaling $439,436.23. The Trustee’s action is grounded on 11 U.S.C.A. §§ 547(b) and 550(a)(1) (West 1993).
