On September 23, 1954 Will Bigham instituted this suit against his employer, Swift & Company, and also against the latter’s compensation insurer, Security Mutual Insurance Company of Chicago, Illinois, seeking recovery under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, LSA-R.S. 23:1021 et seq., as for total and permanent disability.
