Claimant pursues this claim for personal injuries sustained by him on October 30, 1975, while he was an inmate at the Illinois State Penal Farm at Vandalia, Illinois.

On October 30, 1975, the Claimant was working in a kitchen at the penal farm at the request of agents, servants and employees of the Department of Corrections. On that date, Claimant was involved in the preparation of instant mashed potatoes and was required to carry a three-gallon pot of hot milk and butter from one location in the kitchen to another.
