OPINION

BRYNER, Chief Judge.

Following a jury trial presided over by District Court Judge Natalie K. Finn, Lawrence W. Brown was convicted of one count of cruelty to animals, Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC) § 17.10.060, and acquitted of one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm, AMC § 08.05.240(A). Brown appeals, contending that the trial court erred in allowing the jury to hear evidence of prior misconduct, in failing to give Brown’s proposed jury instructions on self-defense, and in denying his post-trial motion to dismiss the cruelty to animals conviction on the ground that the jury’s…
