1. The proper officer to certify to the genuineness of a court paper is the legal custodian of such paper. 1 Gr. Ev. (15th ed.) §485. In a proceeding in bankruptcy the custody of all papers after reference is in the referee, and under section 21 d of the national bankruptcy act of 1898, as amended by the act of Congress approved February 5, 1903 (Frank’s Annotated Bankrupt Law, p. 77), such papers may be certified either by the referee or the clerk. It was accordingly not error to admit in evidence, in the trial of a suit brought by a trustee in bankruptcy to set aside as fraudulent a sale…
