On the first day of August, 1928, Rodman Meacham and his wife, Louise Jones Meacham, wrote their respective wills. Rodman Meacham’s will is brief and clear and the construction of it is not in dispute. By the first clause of his will he directed that his just debts be first paid out of his estate.
