BEAM, Circuit Judge.
Alireza Bakhtiari appeals from the district court’s1 adverse grant of summary judgment in favor of Dr. Paula Lutz and *1134the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR) in this employment discrimination and civil rights case. We affirm.
I. BACKGROUND
We recite the facts in the light most favorable to Bakhtiari, the non-moving party. Weyrauch v. Cigna Life Ins. Co., 416 F.3d 717, 720 (8th Cir.2005).
