Plaintiff, Ruth McCray, both individually and as the special administrator of the estate of Avery McCray (Avery), deceased, filed a medical malpractice case against the defendant, Dr. Salah Uddin Shams, M.D., S.C. Following trial, the jury found for the defendant, who subsequently died. The executor of Dr. Shams’ estate was substituted as a party defendant.
