*245Rebecca E. Self was indicted in the Circuit Court •of Greene county as an accessory before the fact to the murder of Jas. G. Mason by George Simpson, and upon a change of venue to Washington county, she was convicted and sentenced, to the penitentiary for life. She has appealed from the judgment to this •court.

Upon the trial of the cause the State introduced James Fry, who testified that he was an intimate associate of George Simpson, and that during a period of several months before the burning of Mason’s storehouse and his death, he had repeatedly heard Simpson threaten to burn Mason’s…
