LAWRENCE GENTRY DEAN was tried before a jury in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County on charges arising from an incident on the campus of the University of Maryland on 14 May 1970. He was found guilty of two offenses, the common law crime of forcible entry and a statutory crime proscribed by Code, Art. 27, § 577B. He was sentenced to 3 months on each conviction, the sentences to run concurrently. He appealed.
