Michael Doherty departed this life in August, 1934, leaving a will which was admitted to probate in Clinton County, Iowa. The will directed the payment of debts, funeral expenses, and expenses of administration, and provided for the payment of the following specific legacies: To the Catholic Parochial School at Grand Mound, Iowa, $1,600; to Father Small for the purpose of saying mass $400; to Father Lynch for the purpose of saying mass $400; to a nurse who had cared for the deceased during his sickness $400; to two nephews and a niece $1.00 each.
